Netcetera
In collaboration with the Danish transport company Rejseplanen and Google, Netcetera converted the entire Danish public transport schedules to the General Transit Feed Format. Google Transit calculates journeys with public transport and displays the route, all stops and schedule information in Google Maps. Internet users can now use Google Transit to plan their travel in Denmark with public transport. All means of Danish public transportation with their schedules are available and covers over 22,000 stations, over 53,000 trips and more than 1,500,000 departure times.
International Collaboration
For providing this service the three partners brought in their strengths ideally. Rejseplanen provided the basic data in high quality and assured the technical quality. With the data format GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) and the Google Transit application Google offers a stable and easy to use interface with the usual search possibilities. Netcetera, with their profound knowledge of creating and converting schedule data in different formats, was responsible for optimal data integration. The project is an international and joint effort of the four countries Denmark, Switzerland, England and Macedonia.

"With our projects for the Swiss Railway, SBB, or with our iPhone application Wemlin, Netcetera has demonstrated, that we can integrate schedule data of various formats into third party solutions. We are proud that Google relies on our expertise for the project in Denmark."
