Becoming a Professional with Netcetera

Successfully completed Apprenticeships

  • Zürich, 15.07.2010

Netcetera developed two successful IT professionals again. David Elsener and Roger Knecht completed their apprenticeship with excellent grades. On 7 July, the apprentices were honored in the congress center Spirgarten in Zürich. The two software developers stay with Netcetera part time and start their technical college in autumn. Netcetera continues making professionals and already filled two new apprenticeship vacancies.

The Netcetera apprentices David Elsener und Roger Knecht proudly accepted their certificates of competence at the graduation ceremony in Zürich’s Spirgarten congress center. Their pride was appropriate indeed, as they both graduated with excellent grades. In his practical assignment David Elsener programmed the visualization of the NeTS event system for the Swiss Railway (SBB). His tool supports the engineering team: it graphically displays the monitoring and recording of all events within the application. Roger Knecht built a Bonus ID Mapper for the credit card issuer Viseca. Before the mapper was implemented, Viseca had to process the user ID of their bonus program with excel lists. Today, the mapper automatically converts the external user ID into Viseca’s reference ID. The data is allocated to the correct user at cyberspeed and faultless. The two software developers stay with Netcetera part time and start their technical collage in autumn. Netcetera continues making professionals: the two newest employees Yannick Signer and Nicola Hefti begin their apprenticeship in August.

Choosing the right Profession

In September 2010 the Swiss Government warns of a shortage of mathematicians, natural scientists IT specialists and technicians. The Swiss TV news magazine "10vor10" shows how important it is to choose a profession with a future and also portrayed the two Netcetera employees David Elsener and Roger Knecht, who decided to become Software Engineers.
