With M-Go, Migros offer customers a complete and extraordinary shopping experience on the iPhone and Web. The Migros Customer and Web Intelligence department developed the concept, Netcetera the iPhone app and the website, while NOSE handled the design. M-Go combines Web and mobile application and accesses the product database, special offers, current prices and Migipedia. It also generates personalized proposals for Cumulus members, who additionally have constant access to their points balance, purchase volume and to their sales slips for past purchases. In the iApp the GPS function of the iPhone finds the nearest Migros store. The camera acts as a barcode scanner. With it, product data is displayed and products can easily be added to the shopping list. Several people can prepare a common list via different interfaces, share it and tick off individual items in the store.
Migros M-Go goes far beyond similar existing applications. The iPhone app is one of the most comprehensive apps ever built by Netcetera. “The demands on our developers were high – they had to integrate six interfaces into Migros’ core systems”, commented Andrej Vckovski, CEO of the Netcetera Group. “Thanks to our experience in the development of complex software, we were able to deliver M-Go on schedule.”
