Kinect Coding Competition at Netcetera

Teamwork for great Ideas

At this year's innovation competition at Netcetera, the employees were asked to come up with programs for Kinect. Kinect is a 3D camera used for interacting with computer systems. Four Netcetera teams rose to the challenge and presented their projects on video stream to all their colleagues on 26 October. The winner project “Arcade” by the Fantastic Four team from Netcetera Skopje was elected at a live vote in every Netcetera location, using a poll tool for smartphones.

Kinect Arcade – woosh your Hand & play the Game

Winner team the Fantastic Four from Netcetera Skopje (Zdravko Nikolovski, Stefanija Peroska, Aleksandar Petrovski and Aleksandar Ristov) used the Kinect camera and their coding to play a collection of games with hand movements.

Map a Room

Team Skopje 1 with Pance Cavkovski, Mite Mitreski and Aleksandar Nikov presented the RoboMap. It produces a two and three dimensional mapping of a room with the Kinect camera.

Browse in a Shopping Window


The team from Netcetera in Bern showed how Kinect would help to display a catalog through a shopping window without touching the glass (the window cleaners would be happy). The Kinect Window Shopper by Oliver Aeschlimann, Patrick Bönzli, Andrey Collison and Lukas Zaugg.

Street Artists going wild

Vladimir Levkov and Lazar Pancevski from Netcetera Skopje used Kinect to play music and paint.
