Swiss Railway Award for outstanding IT Performance 2011

At Swiss Railway (SBB) Suppliers’ Day in 2011, Netcetera was awarded for its outstanding performance in informatics. Decisive factors for the reward were price, service and adherence to delivery dates. Honorably mentioned at the award ceremony were its abilities on finding solutions rather than scapegoats and its maximum flexibility to handle time-critical situations.

Swiss ICT Champion Award 2010

The Swiss ICT Award is an important and internationally recognized prize for first-class ICT services and products by Swiss companies. Netcetera was elected “Champion” at the Swiss ICT Awards in 2010. This prize is awarded to ICT companies with a distinct track record, who act as role model and motivator for entrepreneurs and employees of the industry.

Anthrazit: Top200 Websites in Switzerland

Every year, a jury of experts and the readers of the Swiss Anthrazit magazine select the best 200 websites in Switzerland. The digital lifestyle and consumer publication awarded the e-government portal of the Canton of Zug in 2009 and 2010: "The website of the Canton of Zug is very user-friendly, barrier-free and available in 11 languages". Metaversum, a Netcetera subsidiary conceptualized the www.zug.ch.

Best of Swiss Web

Best of Swiss Web is the treasured prize for the best websites of the e-business, internet and mobile industry. Since 2001, the Best of Swiss Web Association awards the best projects of the year.

In 2011 the PostFinance iPhone application, engineered by Netcetera, was awarded with a silver medal for innovation: It is Switzerland's first mobile application enabling easy and secure payment, account balance look-up and calling card charging directly with the iPhone. Further, the mobile application received the bronze medal in the category Online Marketing.

In 2010, Züri schlaflos, the guide for Zürich's nightlife, won the silver seal in the new category Display Ads. In this category, the jury awards new advertising media for example for Web 2.0 or mobile solutions. Züri schlaflos was launched by Zürich Public Transport (VBZ), Netcetera developed the iPhone application.

In 2009 two solutions received awards for their usability. Wemlin, the timetabling application for the iPhone, won the silver award for Netcetera, while bronze went to its subsidiary Metaversum for the Canton of Zug's e-government portal.

In 2007 Netcetera received the seal of approval in the Public Affairs category for "ALIS", the comprehensive online data entry system for managing contaminated sites in the Canton of Zurich. In addition, the CSS Insurance website "10sekunden.ch", including Netcetera's premium calculator, won a prize for perfect implementation in the category Online & Mobile Campaign.

In 2005 Netcetera received a Technology Innovation award for its exemplary use of web services in its Premium Calculator for CSS Health Insurance. Netcetera also received a seal of approval for Swisscanto's website, the leading Swiss asset manager.

Eclipse Award 2009

At the Eclipse Community Awards ceremony in Santa Clara, USA, Netcetera was shortlisted by the American Eclipse Foundation. The nomination for "Best Commercial Rich Client Platform Application" went to Netcetera's timetabling software for the Swiss Federal Railways. The network-wide track management system is one of the biggest Eclipse RCP projects in Switzerland.

Swiss eGovernment Awards 2008

2008 the PloneGov project won the prestigious Swiss eGovernment Competition for the best solution in Switzerland. PloneGov is an Open Source platform covering all the essential business requirements of municipalities, schools, NGOs and SMEs. The Swiss solution PloneGov was developed by an interdisciplinary team consisting of Netcetera’s subsidiary Metaversum, 4teamwork, Switzerland’s Strategy Unit for IT, the cantons Basel and Zug, as well as the municipality of Wetzikon. Internationally PloneGov is being supported by over 70 organizations in 15 countries and more than 3,000 developers.

Swiss IT Award 2004

Netcetera's IT project management team received the award from the industry magazine InfoWeek for "SBB Pathfinder". European railway companies use it to plan international rail freight and passenger transport. The multilingual, web-based platform helps the industry associations RailNetEurope and Forum Train Europe to ensure that over 400 users from more than 25 countries can easily coordinate their varying rail transport requirements.

Java Coding Challenge

In 2004 Aleksandar Nikov, CTO of Netcetera Skopje, won the Grand Prize at the famous JavaOne (SM) Coding Challenge. In 2005 he came second.

Top 50 SME 2002

The Swiss finance magazine Bilanz included Netcetera on its list of the top 50 small and medium-sized enterprises for 2002. They all had one in common: Their Chief Executives are thinking strategically: "[...] Netcetera could defy last year's decline of E-Business. [...] the company has set a high value on stable client relationships right from the start. This now paid off."

Winners of "The Month of Sport 2009" Macedonia

Netcetera is on the go in Macedonia, too and won “The Month of Sport“ 2009. Overall, 400 employees of 24 companies competed at table tennis, basketball, volleyball, tennis and billiard.
