Time travel into the future

Neta visited Netcetera's 50th birthday Party in 2046 to talk to a few employees about the last 25 years. An exclusive peek into the future.

In 2025, we achieved a big milestone: the overall revenue from products surpassed the revenue from custom software. This proved that a service company can become a product company.

The arrival of communication implants in the early thirties was a game changer for the whole industry. The augmented reality lenses triggered a whole new approach to privacy and dealing with always being online. People have learned to use it as a mere tool rather than getting lost in addictive information overflow. That was the time when Netcetera started to invest into selected B2C initiatives in data, especially health data, and privacy management.

In the mid-forties, most IT services are AI-driven. AI as a human-like thinking brain has still not emerged. However, we developed a real problem solver: a learning machine that filters information for us. This technology has helped us to understand our biases. The AI now makes sure that we get a proper balance of information. This allows for an open discussion and a much more objective truth than ever before.

It’s the year 2030. After several financial crises all governments and central banks finally started issuing their own digital currency as an official money. Netcetera, together with its partners were already anticipating this move for quite some years and were building the financial solutions of the future (present). Private banks, naturally, already adapted to this transformation and are now accepting payments and deposits in digital and crypto currencies.

With our capabilities and developed technology during the last 30 years, we’ve put ourselves in a unique situation on the IT market. The financial and payment sectors were our two main strongholds where we provided our services. We have built our trust among private banks and financial institutions and have the respect of the IT community. We leveraged from our partnership with G+D and their 180 years’ experience on the market in dealing with central banks and now we are ready for the next move. In today’s world, Crypto is our money and we pay with chip implants

After ravaging cycles of climate change disasters, global unrest and disease flare-ups, humanity finally realized that the only way to survive is to become one or digitally twinned with nature.

The big modern global cities got replaced with millions of localized communes with superior tech that allows connectivity, information, and knowledge to complement our goal to nurture the environment. Plastics are no more; oil is a barbaric notion of the past.

Based on their UQI (Ubiquitous Intelligence) Cloud and their G+D partner's Tesseract Chain secure storage, Netcetera announces Omnipresio, with one goal in mind: to bring synergy in our new world.

Omnipresio accounts for every person in every commune in the network, all their capabilities, assets, strengths, needs and potential, and draws a never-ending best course of action to ensure that everyone takes the most of every local or global trade, travel or knowledge exchange.

With the UQI's powerful Capability Discovery, Omnipresio can mind meld to your local cluster of hyper sensor banks, android outposts and asset accounts to allow you to automate all of your actions in a single wave of your hand.

In the early days our personal data was required and accessible by multiple organizations in various areas of our life. For us this meant managing several accounts & documents without the possibility of remaining anonymous. With PUZZLE Netcetera brought all those pieces together with one application which now allows us to manage and share our personal information. This data is stored locally and secured by a cloud solution. Users can decide in each situation whether they want to temporarily share their data or not. All information is linked and categorized. Most notably, this happens in the areas of Health and Finance. So your information about vaccines (yes, that became pretty important in the twenties), x-rays, eye correction, and other reports are collected and stored as well as your bank account information, third pillar savings, custody accounts, mortgages, and much more.

Monday. March 22nd.

6:53: You wake up with the slight vibrations of your digital bracelet. Through your Netcetera Lenses you can see your calendar for the day.

6:56: You go to the bathroom. Your bathroom mirror shows the weather forecast – perfect weather for a morning run.

7:09: You are in the park for the morning run. Your digital fitness coach Neta is already here. The AI, visible through your lenses but feeling almost like a human, constantly monitors your vitals.

7:35: You say goodbye to your fitness coach. Walking back to your apartment you pass by a shop and remember that you need some groceries for the day. The systems in the shop tracks all of the products that you pick up. Near the exit the system asks you if that would be all. You confirm and the payment is made.

17:30: Working hours are over, you engage disconnected mode and enjoy time with your family in the park. Your lenses and bracelet go silent. No notifications, information or whatever.

19:00: You go to a Chinese restaurant where the waiter speaks Chinese only. You can hear the live translation of the dialog using your headset placed behind your ear. The virtual menu shows a preview on how each dish looks like and what the ingredients are.

21:00: The meal was delicious. Your NBrace has all the information about your body. It can predict whether the meal and the service were good or not and leaves an anonymous feedback for the restaurant.

The year is 2045. After the decade of the pandemics in the twenties, and the crash of the social networks in 2035, the world seems to be in a better, more peaceful place. The era of large enterprises is long gone and replaced by the self-managed tribes that create a healthy and wealthy ecosystem.

Under the guidance of Digital United Nations, all countries now have digital representations of their physical reality. Digital people are doing the "hard work" 24/7 while their physical representations are reconnecting with mother nature.

Thanks to the ingenuity of G+D to provide secure and hack-proof infrastructure as well as for Netcetera to take care of the secure transactional protocols, people are now enjoying "The Network" free of fear that they are monitored, manipulated and taken advantage of.

My name is Luzia Stockli.

Since recently, I have been managing the holographic archive at Netcetera. Keeping the holograms under control is sometimes like herding kittens. Netcetera was one of the first software houses to create a hologram linkage under its CRM «InfoStore», which makes archiving holograms possible at all.

Netcetera's security systems in the transaction and management of my virtual currencies protect me from digital attacks and robberies of small, unorganized as well as large, organized hacker gangs. In addition, Netcetera's own sophisticated investment algorithms contrive to increase my funds without my intervention.

Unfortunately, not only the financing of our retirement funds has suffered badly in the last 30 years. The earth is also no longer what it once was. Mankind has managed to run it down to such an extent that we are now living on Mars, as predicted in several science fiction movies. The red planet. Our new home. OK, I must admit, I just totally made this up.

One of the best things I was able to witness in these last two decades is the progress made when it comes to society. The now over 9 billion people on earth have become more peaceful. This is not least because mankind is slowly beginning to turn away from capitalism.

Not all environmental problems have been solved yet. And by no means all socio-political challenges. But with the support of technologies and innovation like Netcetera has continued to provide over the last 25 years, I am hopeful for the future.
