Konrad Weber outlined the fine balance that modern publishing houses have to find in his keynote speech on “Publishers between the pressure to innovate and efficiency”: on the one hand, not losing touch with technology and, on the other, maintaining core competencies in quality journalism. Gabriel von Mitschke-Collande presented concrete fields of action for the digital transformation in his lecture “Three theses for a digital future”. Alexander Josef, G+D Netcetera, gave another inspiring presentation on “Content is King - Modular Content Architectures for Publisher-Specific and Corporate Requirements”, which emphasized the importance of modular content architectures as the basis for cross-channel publication strategies.
The subsequent panel discussion “Enterprise Content Architectures in Focus” was particularly lively. Representatives from CH Media and the SV Group shared their valuable experience in implementing modern publishing solutions as participating customers and intensively discussed best practices and lessons learned. The open exchange and practical examples provided all participants with valuable inspiration for their own digital strategies.
