The Swiss Government Cloud enables Swiss public authorities to respond flexibly to constantly rising demands and cost pressure and equip themselves for the future. The cloud services encompass infrastructure, platform and applications, ensuring that all data remains under the control and on the territory of the Swiss government. The Swiss Government Cloud will be built up in stages, with initial services available in 2013.

Following in the steps of the police corps in the cantons of Bern, Luzern and Basel, the Graubünden cantonal police are now also using Netcetera's ePolice Mobile to communicate via smartphones. The iPhone and Android apps are available free of charge at the iTunes App Store and Android Market in Switzerland. In addition to policing information, they also keep the public informed about road conditions and avalanches within the canton. For this, Netcetera integrated avalanche bulletins of the institute for snow and avalanche research, Davos, as well as road condition reports from the highways department in Graubünden.

In cooperation with Zürich’s energy company ewz Swiss IT service provider Netcetera is developing the new ESISplus event and fault management system for the power distribution grid. Netcetera won the contract in a WTO competitive public tender with ten other bidders and has overall responsibility for the system’s design, specification and commissioning in the fall of 2012.
