The ServiceNow Developer will play a key role in improving the client’s ServiceNow platform, and as a result, the client’s service management practice. You will be the technical lead for ServiceNow code and architecture. To build solutions and processes you will collaborate with key business units and process managers. Support the maintenance and continual service improvement is one of your major tasks.

Your role
A ServiceNow developer works primarily within a project team with the following responsibilities:
- Design, prototype, implement, test, and deploy business rules, technical solutions, such as client scripts, UI pages/UI actions/UI policies, scheduled job, import sets and transform maps, ACLs and notifications.
- Apply business concepts into a technical solution
- Develop existing and custom applications (JavaScript) within ServiceNow including integrations with other applications (REST and SOAP, LDAP, JDBC, SSH)
- Create and design Service Portal modules and widgets
- Document, maintain and update technical solutions and implementations
- Responsible for reviewing requirements to ensure that they are provided in sufficient detail to be accurately estimated
- Work with product owners to fully understand business functionality, pain points, and areas of improvements
- Commit to the continuous improvement and learning of development and ServiceNow best practices, tools, and technology
- Proactively keep ServiceNow skills current
- Mentor and share technical knowledge with the ServiceNow administrator team
