Last year, EMVCo introduced the SRC standard to improve the guest checkout experience. First implementations were made in the US this year. Mastercard has discontinued MasterPass and VISA did the same with VISA Checkout. As replacement and improvement, they launched the scheme neutral checkout user experience based on SRC standards.
