washMaster 2.0 offers an innovative reservation and payment system and, thanks to its modular design, individually covers all needs of administrations, laundromats, youth hostels, retirement homes, campsites, and other target groups. National and international. Where laundry was previously done with coins or RFID cards and laundry reservations via paper calendars or less sophisticated digital solutions, this smart system is now making its debut. Thanks to its end-to-end user-oriented approach, washMaster 2.0 offers both digital natives and "offliners" a perfect user journey. With mobile payment, calendar functionalities, reporting, push messages, machine financing, and much more, Schulthess customers receive a comprehensive solution based on the latest technology.
Good cooperation was the key to the success of the project. Netcetera grasped the challenges and needs within a very short time. Together, the partners developed the new washMaster 2.0 and built the Smart-Schulthess platform, which is the basis for the washMaster 2.0 as well as for future smart products. In parallel development streams, several teams developed the native mobile apps, the terminal app for users of RFID cards on third-party devices, a web app for operators such as administrations or campsites, and implemented the firmware. Employees on both sides worked closely together, supporting each other and sharing their knowledge.
Carole Gächter, Head of Digital Solutions and member of the Schulthess management team, says: "It was clear to me from the outset that anyone who stands for premium quality and innovation in the field of washing technology must also meet the same standards digitally. Therefore, we specifically looked for a top development partner with excellent references and thus chose Netcetera. The cooperation with Netcetera was very professional, consistently cooperative, and efficient as well as inspiring. The Scrum@Scale project organization set up by Netcetera with Schulthess and Netcetera developers from Switzerland and North Macedonia worked perfectly and enabled the necessary speed to successfully implement such a complex project on time. We are very pleased that thanks to this cooperation we were able to set a new standard even internationally in our field, true to our motto "Schulthess stands out"."
Stefan Widmer, Director Digital Enterprise at Netcetera about the project: "washMaster 2.0 is a successful project all along the line, and everyone involved enjoyed working on it. From the very beginning, we felt the trust of the management as well as the employees of Schulthess Maschinen AG. We are looking forward to further cooperation." Cla Monsch Co-Head Engineering at Netcetera and project manager adds: "We are proud that we were able to develop a qualitatively outstanding solution in only six months thanks to the high technical competencies on both sides and the close cooperation."
Thanks to a modular design, end customers can put together the washMaster of their choice and pay only for those functions they need. The machines from Schulthess Maschinen AG cover the full range of washMaster 2.0 functions. The application is compatible with all machines of all brands.
Netcetera, thanks to its profound experience in digital payment products, and mobile and web applications, has realized a robust, secure, and sustainable solution that is GDPR compliant and ISO certified.
