The publishing solution Forward Publishing was recognized with the first place in the "Cloud Native Solutions" category at the Best of Swiss Software Award Night in November. The cloud-based platform developed by G+D Netcetera provides content to all 15 news portals and 30 native mobile apps of CH Media, Switzerland's third-largest private media company.
What sets this platform implementation apart is the delivery of hyperlocal content for approximately 750 municipalities within the distribution area of CH Media's newspaper offerings.
As part of the NOVA transformation program, CH Media renewed its entire publishing IT infrastructure. The core element of the new solution is an event-driven content delivery hub that efficiently connects CMS content with all news platforms – stable, scalable, and with low latency.
Forward Publishing's event sourcing architecture enables real-time updates across all delivery formats and reduces the latency and response times of web delivery by a factor of 200 (from 1 minute to 0.3 seconds). At the same time, AWS costs were reduced by 45 percent and the infrastructure was made 60 percent more energy-efficient through Graviton processors.
The platform has been in operational use since May 1, 2025, and provides millions of users daily with current news from regional daily newspapers such as the Aargauer Zeitung, BZ, and St. Galler Tagblatt.
